daisygreenmagazine.co.uk, was founded in the summer 2008 and officially launched on 9 October 2008. The website was founded in response to the lack of upbeat forums to showcase great products, motivational individuals and encourage change amongst like minded women.
Our desire to deliver green love around the North East (and promote daisygreenmagazine.co.uk at the same time), led us to organise regular events for our readers in our home cities of Gateshead and Newcastle.
The team
Director Suzanne Whelan's CV includes retail customer service, sales and recruitment. Back in 2001, she sought a career change and turned her hand to Health, Safety and Environmental management and hasn't looked back. Now qualified with an MSc in Environmental Management and Health & Safety she has nine years field experience.Suzanne’s passion for running events and meeting new people compliments her love of dressing up in 1950’s vintage!
Director Nicola Alexander is an experienced sales, recruitment and events manager, who oddly enough loves speaking to large groups of people. In a former life she was a Special Educational Needs coordinator and “cheap shop shopper”. In May 2008 she saw the green light and the concept of daisygreenmagazine.co.u blossomed into reality.
Clothes swapper extraordinaire and charity shop victim, Nicola is the driving force behind the Daisy Green brand.

Elizabeth Johnson, is the Fashion writer for DaisyGreenMagazine.co.uk and co-ordinates our events too. She considers her vintage clothing her babies (and the rest of the team are rather fond of them too).
A truly passionate lady, Elizabeth loves all the nitty gritty details of managing events and excels in providing personal styling advice to prove that anyone can wear vintage.
