About us
At heart, the Daisy Green Media & Events duo are very normal women who although environmentally conscious, have chosen to change and adapt their lives rather than compromise everything they love.
Founded in 2008, Daisy Green Media & Events launched their website daisygreenmagazine.co.uk on 9 October 2008. The website provided the ideal platform to showcase great ethical products, motivational stories and encourage change amongst like minded women. Four years on, ten's of thousands of people visit the website each month.
The team's desire to deliver green love around the North East has seen them organise multiple events including Handmade Markets, Fashion Shows & Clothes Swaps and more recently the business to business Big Eco Show.
Suzanne Whelan: Director
Suzanne's CV includes retail customer service, sales and recruitment. Back in 2001, she sought a career change and turned her hand to Health, Safety and Environmental management and hasn't looked back. Now qualified with an MSc in Environmental Management and Health & Safety she has nine years field experience.
Suzanne’s passion for running events and meeting new people compliments her love of dressing up in 1950’s vintage!
Nicola Alexander: Director
Nicola is an experienced sales, recruitment and events manager, who oddly enough loves speaking to large groups of people. In a former life she was a Special Educational Needs coordinator and “cheap shop shopper”. In May 2008 she saw the green light and the concept of Daisy Green Media & Events blossomed into reality.
Charity shop victim and crochet lover, Nicola is the driving force behind the Daisy Green brand.
